Verona Food & Wine Walking Tour

Verona Food & Wine Walking Tour

Experiencing Verona through this tour means discovering the city by walking through its most authentic streets, letting yourself be guided by traditional flavors and local stories told by those who truly know Verona. It’s an experience that blends culture and gastronomy—perfect for those who want to savor the city's identity in every sense: from typical dishes to fine wines, from historic cafés to the most genuine local shops.

The tour is available both in the morning and in the afternoon, with different stops that are equally rich in flavor, encounters, and charm.

If you choose the morning tour, your day will begin with a meet-up in the historic center, where you’ll get to know your local guide and the rest of the group. First stop: a classic Veronese breakfast with an Espresso and Risino, a traditional local pastry made with rice, served in a cozy café. From there, you’ll set off on a pleasant walking route through the city’s streets, stopping at a historic Osteria where you’ll taste handmade meatballs prepared according to time-honored recipes.

For lunch, you’ll step into a regional Trattoria and discover one of the most iconic dishes of typical cuisine: risotto all’Amarone made with the exceptional red wine from Valpolicella. The tour continues in a refined wine bar, where a guided tasting of three local wines, paired with small gourmet bites, will help you appreciate the deep connection between Verona and its winemaking tradition. At the end, a stop at a selected gelateria offers the sweetness of artisanal gelato—a light, satisfying note to conclude a morning full of flavor and authenticity.

If you choose the afternoon tour, your experience will begin with a non-alcoholic aperitivo accompanied by cicchetti—tasty traditional bites—served in a local Osteria. You’ll then enjoy a glass of wine in a historic café or a charming wine shop, both steeped in atmosphere and local history.
As you continue your walk, you’ll stop to a local takeout spot to taste a handed cone of handmade meatballs to enjoy on the go—a true gem of Veronese street food. The next stop is a specialty winehouse, where you’ll take part in a tasting of three carefully selected wines, perfect for discovering the many nuances of local production. The tour ends in an artisanal Focacceria, where an iconic Aperol Spritz awaits you—a sparkling toast to a day well spent in true Italian style.

This tour will let you discover the city from a deliciously unique perspective… simple and authentic flavors, a true hallmark of Italian excellence.
